Sketchbook - 6/13/25 - Paris
Looking out of my window on the street in the Marias in Paris.
Inspired by many arches
I arrived in Paris with my son on June 12, 2025. We took the metro to an Airbnb. I rented in the Marais. I don't think I would stay in that neighborhood. The next time I go back, not because it wasn't fun, but it was a little loud at night. Great restaurants and galleries and coffee shops. Lucian tried his first cappuccino in a very hip little café.
Sketchbook 6/11/25 - Logan Airport
Here is the first page of my sketchbook from the trip that I took with my son this summer to France and Spain to do an art residency. We were waiting at Logan airport to leave on our first leg of the journey.
Exciting news!
Seine, Marnay-sur-Seine, France 2011
I am doing an artist residency in the south of France this June. I will be there for two weeks and I am bringing my son Lucian. It will be his first time in Europe. I decided that I will be working with watercolors on paper doing landscapes and talking about moving in the world as a woman and an American at this moment in time. I'm very excited. Stay tuned!
These pictures are from the last residency I did in 2011 in France.

Visit to Sotheby's New York City - Asia week, March 2025

I love to go see art, and Sotheby’s holds a special place in my heart because I worked there for seven years. I'd love to have this bed, but I don't think it would fit in my house.
Wall of works in progress in my studio
books, wine, steps, watermelon, tables, martinis, mountains
March for Women's Lives - April 25, 2004
Large format black and white images I made during the march in 2004. I used a Speedgraphic.

Favorite things: John Martyn
Have you ever heard of John Martyn? Maybe not. But, an amazing musician. Scottish/Jewish, died in Ireland in 2009 at age 60. Listen to this whole 2 hour compilation of his songs, and then tell me if you like it.
I discovered him from some other folks who post on Soundcloud, a long time ago.
